This is my second pan of this type and I think it's a terrific pan for just about anything you want to fry. A pretty decent stand-in for cast iron but one bit of caution: be careful not to use too high a heat, whether stovetop or in the oven. That's why this is my second pan. :-)

This replaced an idential Scanpan 8" Fry Pan that was over ten years old. It started to show signs of wear and we replaced it. We've never had any non-stick cookware wear like Scanpan. Almost all of our pans and skillets are now Scanpan. Thick metal, heavy and heat very evenly. Highly recommended. We do take care of it--no dishwasher and no very high temperatures (500F.).

I ordered the wrong size pan by accident and wanted to exchange for a larger size. Was told that an exchange was not possible - I was to return the 'wrong size' and reorder. A return label was not provided so after costing this out, the return fee was more expensive than the pan. You'd think that a company this size might offer a return label of some sort...lesson learned. I guess I'll be keeping the wrong sized pan. Make sure you know what you need, before ordering.
Great egg pan, nothing sticks to it like any scan pan. Only gripe is the hangy hole is not as large as the 11" professional and doesn't fit on most of my hooks.
I’ve only had my pans for a couple of weeks, and so far they are performing exactly like I hoped they would. I cook everyday at home. They are beautiful and sturdy. I’m so happy to have found a non-toxic, nonstick alternative.

Okay, full disclosure: I'm 70+ years old. I grew up in a restaurant. Father cook, mother waitress. Been cooking on my own at a pretty advanced level since my 20s. Always loved having good cookware. The Scanpan Pro is my saute pan of choice. It is, hands-down, the best pan I've had in my whole life. I even have unopened backups in case they become unavailable. I've given them as gifts and those friends are also addicted. Sear on the stovetop, finish in the oven. Bam! Beautiful. Love you guys. Keep up the great work.
