How to Make One-Pan Sausage Stuffing in the Professional Chef Pan
Make holiday cooking easier by preparing this savory sausage stuffing entirely in one pan. The Professional 4.25 QT Chef Pan is oven-safe up to 500°F, so you can sauté, mix, and bake without switching dishes.
Ingredients:
8 cups (400g) store-bought unseasoned stuffing cubes
1 stick (½ cup) unsalted butter
1½ cups diced yellow onion (from 1 large or 2 small onions)
1 cup diced celery (from 3 large celery stalks)
4 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1 pound bulk sweet Italian sausage (casings removed)
2¾ cups low sodium chicken broth
1 large egg, beaten
1 tablespoon fresh chopped rosemary
1 tablespoon fresh chopped sage
¼ cup fresh chopped parsley
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F.
In your chef pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the diced onions and celery and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 3-4 minutes, just until they begin to soften (they will finish cooking in the next step). Add the garlic and cook for another minute.
Add the sausage to the pan with the vegetables. Cook over medium heat, breaking up the sausage with a spatula, until browned and cooked through (about 8-10 minutes). Stir occasionally to ensure the vegetables continue to soften and everything is well mixed.
Remove the pan from heat and add the stuffing cubes, chicken broth, beaten egg, rosemary, sage, parsley, salt, and pepper directly into the pan. Stir until the stuffing cubes are evenly moistened and the ingredients are well combined.
Smooth the top of the stuffing mixture in the pan. Transfer the pan directly to the preheated oven and bake, uncovered, for 65-75 minutes, or until the top is golden and crispy.
Enjoy!
